Do you want to be an important part of our preschool's daily routine and contribute to creating a safe and pleasant environment for the children? We are now looking for an engaged and service-oriented assistant cook for our facility.

Who are we?

We are a preschool with six departments located in Sandtorp. Here, there are approximately 115 children and 20 educators who work together to create a safe, educational, and inspiring environment for the children every day.

Your Responsibilities

As an assistant cook, you work closely with both children and colleagues and are responsible for meal preparations as well as other practical tasks within the facility. You contribute to establishing good routines regarding food, hygiene, and order.

Your duties include preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks, as well as handling dishwashing, cleaning, and self-control according to current hygiene requirements. You also receive and handle food deliveries and contribute to a safe, pleasant, and well-functioning environment for both children and staff. Collaboration with other staff is a natural part of the daily work.

If needed, the position can also be combined with work in a children's group, meaning you will occasionally support the pedagogical work.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have education as an assistant cook, basic knowledge in hygiene and food handling, as well as good skills in Swedish in both speech and writing. Experience working in kitchens within preschools, schools, or large-scale kitchens is an advantage.

As a person, you are service-oriented and have a positive attitude. You find it easy to build good relationships and collaborate with others, while also being able to work independently and take initiative when needed. You are meticulous, responsible, and flexible, and you thrive with varied tasks, maintaining calm and focus even during periods of high tempo.
