About the role

We are now looking for an engaged and proud chef who wants to help create culinary experiences for our conference, hotel, and event guests. You will become part of a professional kitchen team where collaboration, quality, and joy in work are at the center.

The role involves

As a chef at The Box Hotel, you work in a varied kitchen where no day is the same. You actively participate in planning, production, and execution, contributing to ensuring our guests receive a first-class dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include among other things:

• Preparing conference lunches, lunches for external guests, and event meals
• Preparations and mise en place for daily service
• Ensuring routines regarding food hygiene, self-control, and food safety
• Participation in menu development and improvement work
• Active work on waste reduction and resource-efficient production
• Collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure high quality and good service
• Contributing to a positive work environment and good cooperation between departments

The position is 80% and working hours include daytime with one evening shift per week according to schedule.

We are looking for you who

• Have at least 5 years of experience working as a chef
• Have good experience in cooking from scratch
• Have good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Fluent in Swedish (spoken and written)
• Thrives in a varied work pace and is solution-oriented
• Are structured, responsible, and quality-conscious
• Are a team player who gladly does the little extra to achieve results both individually and as a team
• Have a genuine interest in ingredients, cooking, and gastronomic development
• Valid driver's license

Meritorious

• Experience from hotel, conference, or restaurant operations
• Experience working with larger production volumes
• Experience with special diets and allergy handling
• Education within the restaurant and food industry
