Nämndemansgatan in Motala is a specialized elderly care facility operated by Attendo on behalf of Motala Municipality. The facility is centrally located with easy access to both the Göta Canal and Lake Vättern. It offers views of the football fields at Mossen, and with the Sagomossen preschool as its nearest neighbor, it is situated in an active and vibrant neighborhood. The facility has a total of 54 places, of which 36 are for individuals with dementia.

Job Description

We are looking for a creative and driven chef who constantly wants to improve the dining experience for our residents. As a chef at Attendo Nämndemansgatan, you should have the knowledge and willingness to contribute to developing the meal into a gastronomic, nutritious, sustainable, and joyful experience for the residents. Part of the chef's role is to actively contribute to sustainable food production and consumption, which includes planning menus and purchases based on seasonality while keeping resident satisfaction in focus.

All meals are prepared on-site, and the work is done in close collaboration with group managers to provide food and drink based on needs, activities, and this includes all standard kitchen duties. You are of course responsible for following laws and guidelines, following self-control programs, etc. Preparing most food from scratch is second nature to you. Here you are given the opportunity to lead and develop the work with and around meals.

As a chef, you have daily contact with colleagues in care and nursing, which requires good communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a strong sense of service.

We are looking for you with a chef education and at least a few years of practical experience as a chef. Experience in preparing special diets and consistency-adapted food is meritorious. You are accustomed to maintaining hygiene routines and ensuring special diets in the kitchen while handling administrative tasks efficiently and smoothly. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is necessary for the role.

For us, it is important that you have a clear passion for cooking and an understanding of nutritional needs and consistency adaptations for the elderly. As a person, you are creative and can prepare varied and appetizing dishes that appeal to our elderly residents' taste buds. Through strong engagement in the work and attention to detail, you can use simple means to add that little extra to the meal, which is of great significance to our customers.

The position is a fixed-term contract (100%) and working hours are during weekdays daytime.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a chef
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written)
  • Good computer skills/computer literacy
  • Driver's License Category B

  • Experience in similar work
