At Vadstena Monastery Hotel, food is an important part of the overall experience. Our guests come here to celebrate, relax, attend conferences, or experience the unique historical environment – and we want the food to be something they talk about long after they have left.

Therefore, we are now looking for a Sous Chef who wants to help develop our kitchen together with us.

You plan, lead service, support your colleagues, and contribute ideas that develop both the food and the way we work.

A kitchen with great variety

With us, no week is like the other. Here we cook dinner for weekend guests one day, conferences the next, and large weddings or events during the weekend. We work with à la carte, banquets, and events, which makes our work varied and developmental.

We like classic flavors but are also curious about the new. We appreciate craftsmanship and place great importance on ingredients, quality, and details.

We believe that you

  • have a few years of experience from a restaurant kitchen
  • perhaps already work as a sous chef or are an experienced cook who feels ready for the next step
  • enjoy leading others and get energy from seeing colleagues develop
  • keep a cool head even when there is a lot to do
  • are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and a team player
  • want to help create a workplace where it is fun to go to work.
