Cook for the newly built Lejonbacken School in Mjölby

The Urban Planning Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations, responsible for several central societal functions. With approximately 450 employees, we work with the planning, development, and management of the municipality's infrastructure, buildings, parks, and outdoor environments. The administration is also responsible for water and wastewater operations, waste management, meal services, building cleaning, and rescue services.

We are now looking for a cook for the newly built Lejonbacken School in Mjölby. In the kitchen at Lejonbacken School, you will work in a team of several cooks and meal assistants to deliver delicious and nutritious meals to our guests.

Job Responsibilities

You prepare good and nutritious food and are responsible for standard kitchen duties, such as cleaning, dishwashing, ordering supplies, and documentation of self-control measures. The role also includes following the laws, regulations, and ordinances applicable to the operation. Administrative work is included.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with education in restaurant and large-scale catering, or other relevant education deemed equivalent, and at least 3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen.

You have a strong sense of service and always put the customer at the center through attentive and friendly treatment. You work in a structured manner but are also flexible and find solutions when conditions change. You remain calm even in stressful situations and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.

You have good knowledge of food legislation, self-control, and special diets. Basic computer skills are required to handle our internal systems.

We look for someone who can make quick and clear decisions, both independently and in collaboration with others. You are proactive and self-motivated, while also being able to collaborate, listen, and treat others with empathy and respect.

As a person, you are unpretentious, recognize others' contributions, and value teamwork. You are skilled at planning and organizing your work, setting goals, and following up on results. You work carefully according to instructions, routines, and legal requirements, and have a good ability to meet deadlines.
