Located in beautiful nature with sea and forest, Ängelholm is close to the large cities in the Öresund Region. The Department of Operations in Ängelholm belongs to the area of activity Anesthesia, Operations, and Intensive Care at Helsingborg Hospital. At the Department of Operations in Ängelholm, we currently primarily conduct planned day surgery activities. The department consists of operating, anesthesia, sterile, day surgery, and recovery activities. We perform specialized planned care within orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, and ENT. Here we receive both adults and children during daytime, Monday to Friday. We are responsible for the entire pre-, peri-, and post-operative flow.

The recovery department has twelve monitoring stations for elective and inpatient surgery. The sterile technical unit has both internal and external customers. We are approximately 90 employees, and the work group consists of nurses, operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, assistant nurses, sterile technicians, doctors, and unit managers. We constantly strive for good teamwork and cooperation between our specialties because we believe it is one of the keys to good care for our patients. We now welcome you who are looking for a varied and stimulating job where you get a significant role in the collaboration with your colleagues in the operating team!

In the role of Operating Room Nurse, you work with pre- and perioperative nursing. Together with your colleagues, you work to offer the patient the best possible care, and with warmth, security, and competence, you strive to make the patient feel well taken care of both before and during the operation. As an Operating Room Nurse, you assist in all occurring operations and participate in the pre- and post-work such as setting up and handling used instruments. In daily work, you also handle a large part of medical technical equipment.

Here you plan your work shifts according to a business-adapted wish schedule. The work involves daytime service.

The introduction is adapted individually based on your previous experience. At the department, we offer four study days per year, annual CPR training.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a registered nurse with specialist education in operating room nursing and eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are required. It is meritorious if you have experience from working on an operating department with mixed tasks of elective and acute activities. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of the record systems Orbit and/or Melior.
