About the role
At the Division of Manufacturing and Production Transition at RISE, we develop, among other things, additive manufacturing technology (Additive Manufacturing, AM) and work with various methods that combine design, quality, performance, sustainability, and productivity from a long-term perspective. A large part of the assignments and projects are driven within our business network, the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing (AMC), which is operated by RISE together with the center's 20 partners. Important areas at present concern sustainability, product performance, and digitalization.
As a business-driven researcher here, you are involved in the entire chain from ideation of research projects and commercial assignments in close dialogue with our customers, to implementation, final reporting, and evaluation. An important part of the role is networking with customers and partners to gain an understanding of industry needs, and from this, formulate offers in the form of publicly funded projects or direct customer assignments.
The position is security-classified, which means you will need to undergo a security check in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
Location: Mölndal
Who are you? To succeed with us, we see that you have at least a Master of Science degree and a few years of experience within the manufacturing industry, design, or additive manufacturing. We are looking for you who:
- have education in additive manufacturing, mechanical engineering, materials, technical design, or product development,
- possess competence in design for AM and qualification of products and processes,
- communicate clearly in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing,
- have strong business drive and are skilled at building and developing customer relationships.
You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, while also appreciating collaboration with colleagues and partners. You have the ability to translate research questions into concrete industrial solutions, and we would like you to have leadership qualities and the ability to drive and develop the business. We value that you contribute to a positive work environment, are curious, open to new ideas, and have a desire to constantly develop.
Meritorious if you have:
- experience from the aerospace, space, or defense industry,
- knowledge in repair, remanufacturing, and standardization.
