Are you an engaged and driven teacher who, together with us at Navestadsskolan, wants to contribute to creating the best conditions for our students?

Who are we?

Navestadsskolan in Norrköping is located in the middle of the world and has a long tradition of teaching in a multicultural environment and of preparing students for adult life in a global world. At Navestadsskolan, approximately 60 engaged employees work in various ways to contribute to good school days and education for our approximately 400 students in grades 4 to 9.

Navestadsskolan works in grade-based work teams and stage-divided subject teams. The school has a Support Team that works in close dialogue with the work teams to strengthen the conditions for all students to develop both academically and socially.

Navestadsskolan also has one of Norrköping Municipality's music classes from grade 4 to grade 9, where music and choir singing are part of the students' school days.

Navestadsskolan is also home to Norrköping's Hearing Track together with Silverdansens Preschool and School. This is a collaboration between Norrköping Municipality and the Region of Östergötland to create good conditions for students with hearing impairments.

Your responsibilities

The goal and mission of the activity is to promote learning where the individual is stimulated to acquire and develop knowledge and values. The school, in cooperation with homes, should promote students' all-round personal development into active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals and citizens.

In your role as a teacher, you should work to ensure that students get as good a development as possible, both academically and socially, and actively influence and stimulate students to achieve the goals. Create teaching that, based on the teacher's interpretation and understanding, meets the requirements of the School Act, curriculum, course plan, and subject plan.

You must be subject-matter knowledgeable, supervise students, plan and lead teaching, assess, and grade knowledge development. You actively participate in the school's development. Documentation of your work is part of the assignment. Teachers in grades 7-9 operate within the primary school's area of activity and are managed by the principal at the school. Mentorship is included in the position.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications in Visual Arts for grades 4–9. We see that you have experience in pedagogical work. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a good understanding of the school's governing documents. In the classroom, you are clear and confident in your communication and ensure that all students keep up.

You enjoy collaborating and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the work team. At the same time, you have the ability to support and inspire students in their development so that they can reach their full potential.

As a person, you are engaged and persistent, even when challenges arise. You are flexible, open to change, and adapt easily to new situations. You also have a natural ability to build good relationships with both students and colleagues.

You start from the premise that everyone can and wants to succeed. You appreciate development and receive and share experience and competence.

Welcome with your application!
