What does the role of Nursing Assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail?

A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together in a team with nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the resident to provide a good life every day.

We are looking for you with a genuine interest in elderly people, where your main tasks are to design safe and secure personal care and support. You support the resident in their daily life and create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday existence. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing residents with good, high-quality care and support in accordance with what has been agreed upon with the resident in the implementation plan.

This includes among other things:

• Work as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept Your Day.
• Personal care and support, and utilizing the resident's own resources.
• Work based on Norlandia's concept Tasty Meal so that our residents appreciate the food and the meal experience adds a golden touch to everyday life.
• Documentation according to the Social Services Act; maintaining a social journal and creating and following up on implementation plans.
• Plan, offer, and carry out daily activities, outdoor visits, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individually and in groups.
• Perform service tasks such as apartment cleaning, laundry, escorting, and shopping, among others.
• Receive and perform delegated tasks such as medication delegation, insulin administration, and certain wound dressings.
• Take responsibility in ombudsman roles.
• Actively participate in the organization's quality and improvement work.

About Solliden Elderly Care Home

Norlandia Care nursing and elderly care home, Solliden, is located in Arlöv and is a residence for people with dementia/cognitive illness. Solliden is beautifully situated in nature, surrounded by parkland and horse paddocks. • Requirement for a protected title of nursing assistant issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare, or employment as a nursing assistant from July 2023.
• It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience in care and support with a focus on dementia or experience from social psychiatry.
• You need to have good knowledge of documentation.
• You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing.
• We would like you to have good computer skills/computer literacy.
• We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Employment type: Permanent position

Scope: Part-time, 75–80% according to agreement

Start date: According to agreement

Probation: We apply a 6-month probation period

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In the event of employment, you must be able to produce an extract from the criminal record register. You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
