About the role

Inkubera is looking for an analytical and business-driven Investment Lead responsible for systematically identifying, reviewing, evaluating, and driving investment processes for early-stage startups, scale-ups, and growth companies. This role is central to ensuring the quality of companies before they are presented to a regional investment fund.

You will work closely with entrepreneurs, investors, decision-makers, and other key actors in the ecosystem, playing a vital role in assessing business potential, financial sustainability, and investability in companies with high growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct investment and due diligence processes for startups and growth companies.
  • Systematically analyze business models, market potential, and financial prerequisites of companies.
  • Evaluate financial key performance indicators, capital needs, and valuations in early stages.
  • Prepare decision support materials and presentations for the investment fund's preparation group and board.
  • Act as an advisory partner to entrepreneurs regarding financing and investment readiness.
  • Contribute to the development of Inkubera's investment processes and networks within the startup and investor ecosystem.

We are looking for someone with

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of financial economics and corporate finance.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, key figures, and company valuations.
  • Strong analytical skills and good business acumen.
  • Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and structured in a dynamic environment.

Preferred experience

  • Academic background in financial economics, business administration, or a similar field.
  • Experience from the startup ecosystem, venture capital, investment companies, incubators, or other investment activities.
  • Experience working with early-stage growth companies.
  • Understanding of innovation systems, entrepreneurship, and the startup community.
