Description

Child and Family Unit 1 belongs to the IFO (Individual and Family Care) operational area and consists of two investigation teams. A total of 15 social secretaries, two team leaders, an administrator, and a unit manager work at the unit.

The city has well-developed home-based interventions that work with change processes. The unit consciously works with an inclusive approach and attitude and is HBTQ+ certified. We also have a strong focus on children's participation in our contact with them.

We offer a thoughtful introduction and good opportunities for competence development, including through "Yrkesresan" (The Career Journey). We offer close method supervision with team leaders and process supervision with an external supervisor. All new employees also receive a mentor. As an employee in Trollhättan's social services, you also have the opportunity for up to four recovery days per year. On our unit, there is a good commitment and strong cohesion among employees. Your Responsibilities

Your main responsibility is case handling according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU), with a focus on children and young people aged 0-18, their families, and networks. You will investigate and assess the resources and needs of children and families, and decide on and follow up on various interventions. We work from a conscious child perspective and base our case handling on the BBIC model.

Qualifications

You must be a social worker or social pedagogue with a degree from a university or university college. You have good knowledge of child development, and it is natural for you to be committed to children who are suffering. You see the child's network as an important resource in the change process. You must enjoy documentation and be able to document in a legally secure manner with good quality. You should have experience of authority exercise within social child and youth care, as well as experience working with the BBIC model.

Personal Attributes

We assume that you are an empathetic and secure person with good personal maturity and that you contribute to a good work climate. Important attributes are good teamwork skills, stress tolerance, and the ability to work independently. You should have good skills in reflection and analysis, as well as the ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing, as the work involves a large amount of documentation and administration. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment Conditions

Permanent position, 100%, with start date 2026-08-17 or as agreed. Interviews may take place continuously during the recruitment period.
