Experienced Preschool Teacher Wanted (Fixed-term Contract)

Would you like to work at a small, Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool on Kungsholmen, run by an engaged parent cooperative? At Minibojarna, our operations are characterized by an exploratory and project-based approach where the children's interests, experiences, and thoughts are at the center.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher here, you work closely with your work team and other colleagues in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of our activities. You help create a safe, structured, and stimulating environment for the children, while maintaining a daily and professional dialogue with guardians.

In this role, you lead and participate in teaching situations and projects, both in larger groups and in smaller groups where every child has the opportunity to be seen and challenged in their learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher or have equivalent experience in process-oriented work with children. You have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

To thrive in this role, you need to be experienced in working with children's groups and feel confident leading teaching situations. You have a professional approach, dare to express your opinions, and actively contribute to the development of the work team.

Experience of intercultural work and creating accessible and well-thought-out learning environments is considered an advantage. We also appreciate that you are goal-oriented, development-focused, and curious about trying new working methods.

Workplace Description

Minibojarna is a parent cooperative where the parents are engaged in the association, while the pedagogical responsibility rests entirely with the staff. Here, three preschool teachers work, one of whom is the principal, and four preschool teachers. The preschool has 29 children distributed across two departments.

Our operations are based on an exploratory and project-based approach where the children's thoughts, theories, and experiences are in focus. We work with clear structure, continuous reflection, and pedagogical documentation to develop teaching. The work often takes place in smaller groups, which provides good conditions for every child to be seen and heard.

Job Description

As a preschool teacher, you are part of a work team where you are jointly responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching. Through observations and pedagogical documentation, you contribute to making the children's learning processes visible and further developing the operations.

Reflection is a central part of the work and takes place both jointly in the work team and individually. We have scheduled reflection time, APT (Staff Meetings), and planning days. As support for documentation and communication, we use the app Tyra.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term contract of 6-12 months for a parental leave replacement, with a start date in August. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
