We are now looking for two additional rehabilitation assistants to join our team at the Activity Center in Södertälje. We work on behalf of the Social Psychiatry authority and the Authority for Harmful Use and Addiction. Our Activity Center offers arenas for work training, engagement, and social interaction for individuals with mental disabilities, mental health issues, and addiction problems. Our goal is to promote re-entry into work, studies, and an expanded social network for our participants.

Participation is our key word. This means that the needs and wishes of the participants should shape the operations, in harmony with evidence-based methods that promote recovery. We collaborate with both internal and external partners, such as NSPH Stockholm, RSMH Södertälje-Nykvarn, study associations, and sports clubs, in the development of our operations.

Your responsibilities

You will be part of a team with other rehabilitation assistants who lead our activity groups. You also have the role of a resource person for a number of participants, where you meet regularly to create and follow up on implementation plans based on the participants' wishes and needs. You document your work and report back to the social worker who decides on the intervention. You also collaborate with work supervisors and employment counselors, as well as take other contacts required to ensure that your participants receive the best possible support in their rehabilitation.

We work with participation in focus, which means that the participants, together with you as staff, shape our activity groups. We follow up on our work through regular participant surveys and by allowing participants to take part in our participant forums.

  • You enjoy collaborating and finding solutions together with your colleagues, but can also drive and plan your own work.
  • You are calm and stable in your contact with participants and can convey hope and belief to those you meet.
  • You enjoy supervising both individually and in groups.
  • You take initiatives that develop the work.
  • You have a salutogenic approach.

Requirements:

  • Education as a rehabilitation assistant, social pedagogue, or other relevant education.
  • Experience working within social psychiatry and/or harmful use and addiction is meritorious.
  • Knowledge of a recovery-oriented approach is meritorious.
  • Ability to create security, trust, and structure.
  • Good cooperation skills and a professional and empathetic approach.

Meritorious:

  • Education and experience in low-affective handling.
  • Education in ESL (Emotionally Supportive Listening) and IBIC.
  • Experience working in group activities or as a work supervisor.
