Matilda is a 25-year-old woman with Rett syndrome who lives in her own apartment with 24/7 assistance (with wait times at night). Matilda enjoys music, reading, films, and spending time with family and friends. Generally, she is an active person who likes gymnastics, dancing, swimming, traveling, and attending concerts, but due to pain issues, she sometimes needs support at a slower pace.

You will become part of a wonderful team of assistants who will welcome you into the group and provide a safe and secure onboarding process.

As Matilda's personal assistant, you will become an important part of her daily life. You will:

• Help with all ADL (Activities of Daily Living) (personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, mealtimes, etc.).
• Support her in activities and during certain transfers/movements.
• Read her body language and facial expressions (as she does not speak, but has much to say).
• Ensure she receives physical, intellectual, and social stimulation for a secure and meaningful daily life.
• Be creative and flexible in finding solutions for her daily needs.
• Participate in her large circle of friends, where friends and assistants usually meet several times a week to do things together.

Matilda may sometimes exhibit challenging behaviors due to her pain issues. Therefore, it is an advantage if you have previous experience in situations requiring a calm and professional approach.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Have experience in personal assistance or other care and support (meritorious).
• Are patient and engaged.
• Are sensitive to the needs of others.
• Are accustomed to adapting to daily conditions and new circumstances.
• Hold a manual driver's license to drive Matilda's car (requirement).
• Communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing (requirement).
• Are non-smoking (requirement).

• Employment type: Permanent position on a rolling schedule.
• Scope: 66%.
• Working hours: 24-hour shifts from 09:00 to 09:00.
• Start date: July 1, 2026.
