The functional disability care area of Haninge Municipality is a development-oriented department focused on creating the best social services for the citizens of Haninge. The unit's overarching goal is to create conditions for increased independence for the target group. The operations are conducted based on legislative requirements, political goals, and the municipality's guidelines. We in the preventive and authority department work with authority implementation according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). The unit handles cases concerning both children and adults.
The focus of the unit's work within authority implementation is secure case handling, uniform assessments, and follow-up of decisions and granted measures. The unit's common objective is to work preventively, combat welfare crime, and ensure secure case handling. The coordinator role is part of the preventive work and contributes to coordinating support measures early, strengthening families, and reducing the risk of more extensive needs. The work requires good collaboration skills, where you confidently lead and participate in meetings with multiple actors.
About the Unit
The unit consists of two lines, a first and a second, and is led by two unit managers who, together with a team leader, support the case handlers in their daily work. We also have support functions linked to the unit, such as administrative assistants, economic case handlers, and two placement coordinators.

Do you want to make a real difference for families with children with disabilities? We are now looking for an engaged and structured coordinator who wants to work closely with families and contribute to more coordinated and accessible support. The coordinator support is aimed at parents with children under 18 years of age who have a disability.
Your Assignment
The role of coordinator is part of the National Board of Health and Welfare's work to develop more coordinated support for children with disabilities and their parents. The assignment is part of a national development work in collaboration with Nka and several municipalities.
As a coordinator, you provide parents with coordinated, accessible, and knowledge-based support. You contribute to creating overview, reducing burden, and strengthening the family's ability to navigate between different societal actors. The goal is for the child to receive the right support while the parents are strengthened in being able to handle their situation independently in the long run, with a focus on help for self-help.
You always start from the family's specific needs and work on behalf of the family for a limited period. With a holistic perspective on the family's situation, you help create structure, prioritize measures, and build a functioning support system around the child.
In the role of coordinator, you will among other things:
- Map the family's needs, resources, and contacts
- Identify, prioritize, and follow up on support measures
- Inform about available support measures and application processes
- Provide practical and administrative support to parents
- Act as a link between different actors and coordinate contacts
- Hold supportive and coaching conversations
- Participate in and initiate collaboration meetings
You also contribute to the development of the operations by collaborating with colleagues and networks, participating in development work, and documenting, following up, and quality-assuring methods.
The assignment also includes keeping yourself updated in the field and taking responsibility for your own competence development, regularly reporting back to the manager, and documenting and registering material for follow-up, statistics, and development of the operations.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work or other education that the employer considers equivalent
- Experience of working in the field of disability, authority implementation, or similar operations
- Good knowledge of society's support measures and work in the public sector
- Experience of collaboration between different actors
- You express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing
Meritorious:

You have the ability to create trust in the meeting with both children and adults, and can adapt your treatment based on individual conditions. You have a helicopter perspective and can see the whole picture while handling details and complex situations.

The position is a fixed-term employment for one year with the possibility of extension.
