Are you passionate about learning in the leisure-time center (fritidshem)? Do you enjoy working together with great colleagues to promote student development? Perfect! We have a vacant position just for you!
Who are we?
Uttersberg School is located in Krokek, a larger community in the Kolmården area. We have approximately 350 children from preschool class to grade 3, and we are about 53 employees plus two school leaders. We now have the opportunity to increase the number of certified teachers in the leisure-time center and hope that you will apply to us.
Our leisure-time center is divided into three to four grade-based units, and we work for the students' learning and well-being based on our goals, which we jointly develop before each new school year. The leisure-time center is important to give our students the best foundation for their future; they get the opportunity to try, re-evaluate, and consolidate their knowledge through experience-based learning.
This autumn, we will participate in the Swedish National Agency for Education's Language Initiative in the leisure-time center, which generally aims to strengthen students' language development, reading interest, and reading skills to improve students' knowledge of the Swedish language.
We have a fantastic environment with proximity to a swimming pool, library, artificial turf field, and the Kolmården nature where we have access to two school forests. In winter, we are close to sled hills and an ice skating rink. From Norrköping, there are good train and bus connections; a bus/train departs every 20 minutes, and the station in Krokek is only a five-minute walk from the school.
Your responsibilities
In the role of teacher in the leisure-time center, you plan and are responsible for physical education (PE) instruction in grade 2. You also plan, together with colleagues, the instruction in the leisure-time center. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the leisure-time center activities.
The activities are planned based on three theme areas; health, sustainable development, and technology. Within these areas, there is an extra focus on language and communication. The students' ideas and interests within each theme area are taken into account in various ways.
You are also part of a work team together with all staff in a grade team to collaborate around the students' whole day.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility to work in the leisure-time center, with a focus on physical education or experience in teaching PE.
We would like you to have knowledge of the leisure-time center's mission and be well acquainted with the leisure-time center's curriculum and other regulatory documents.
You have a commitment to pedagogical development work. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create trusting relationships with both students and guardians, as well as with colleagues. We see that you work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.
You are clear in your leadership role, flexible in your working methods, and show a genuine interest in the students' learning based on their different prerequisites.
You have high attendance and behave politely. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The position requires that you can communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Welcome with your application!
