Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to work at this varied workplace and welcome you who are interested in a broad field of work with great variation in both documentation and the various unique tasks.

Much of our work is not tied to specific individuals but to functions, which means we hand over ongoing work after our shift so that the administrative flow around the patient continues smoothly.

Our ambition is that all our regular secretaries should have the opportunity for training in disease classification, and if you already have this competence, you will, if you wish, work to some extent with coding. For those who wish, there are several different work groups to engage in together with other professional categories, and within the secretary group, there are also opportunities for different areas of responsibility.

The position includes journal printing, telephone service, mail handling, and reception work. When you feel secure in your role as a secretary at the emergency department, you will also be able to join alarms in the emergency room.

The working hours involve day/evening and weekend shifts. We work two and a half weekends out of seven weeks. We have quota working hours, which means that when you work evenings and weekends, you get a reduced weekly working time with maintained salary. Scheduling is done in Multi Access where you enter your desired shifts and weekend work, which is then finalized by the scheduling manager.

At the Emergency Department, you work in close collaboration with other healthcare staff and with your medical secretary colleagues and administrators.

Qualifications

Are you flexible, service-oriented, and able to prioritize, and do you want exciting, varied, and developing work? Then you are the one we are looking for. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

You who apply must have education in Health and Social Care Administration 80 credits (KY) / 400 credits (YH) or equivalent medical secretary education. Furthermore, good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Additionally, generally good IT skills in a Windows environment are required. We use the systems Melior, MedSpeech, Patientliggaren, and web-PASiS, and we would like you to have knowledge of these systems, but it is not a requirement. It is also meritorious if you have good knowledge of English.
