Central Hospital Kristianstad (CSK) is the emergency hospital for northeastern Scania. Here, qualified and dedicated staff provide advanced emergency care around the clock. CSK combines the resources of a large hospital with the proximity and community spirit of a smaller one. The hospital offers residents in the catchment area care with short waiting times across all specialties. We have approximately 2,600 employees.

Our Pre- and Postoperative Ward for Planned Operations in Kristianstad focuses on bariatric surgery every other week and other surgeries every other week, such as gynecology, lower gastrointestinal surgery, hernias, and gallbladder surgery, as well as other diagnoses. We perform planned surgical procedures and serve both inpatients and outpatients, along with reception duties. Our operations encompass the ward, operating room, and recovery unit, meaning we follow the patient throughout the entire care chain. We also have an admission ward where both inpatients are checked in and day-care patients are managed.

On our ward, nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians (available in Malmö), and medical secretaries work in close collaboration. The ward is open around the clock, Monday from 06:45 to Friday at 15:30. We are looking for someone who wants to work day and evening shifts, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities

We are now welcoming a new nursing assistant to a permanent full-time position, starting in week 33.

Your duties will include nursing assistant tasks within pre- and postoperative care. You will also work at our admission ward.

You will perform patient-care nursing work in a team together with a nurse. This includes preoperative and postoperative care of patients and documentation in Melior. In addition to patient care, you will also have the opportunity to take on various areas of responsibility on the ward. Our goal is to provide good and safe care with a focus on a good work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working in a hospital within emergency care, on a surgical ward, and/or an admission ward is meritorious but not required.

As a person, you have a positive attitude and see opportunities, which is reflected in your ability to adapt and adjust your work approach to changing circumstances that arise in daily life. In contact with patients and relatives, we expect you to be attentive and have a humble and empathetic approach. You are curious and eager to learn new things, which is evident in your initiative at the workplace. We also want you to value and promote good cooperation, just as we do, with colleagues and your immediate supervisor on the unit, as well as with external partners and other departments at the hospital.
