OPUS is a creative day activity program according to the LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), offering various types of engagement such as creative activities, carpentry, Lego work, and kitchen and cleaning tasks. The operation is divided into different work groups, but both staff and participants can switch between the various assignments.

If you enjoy working with people with various disabilities in combination with physical and practical tasks, this is a fun and stimulating job! You see strengths and abilities and can help our participants build on them. Do you want to influence, shape, and develop in your role as a coordinator? We welcome you to become part of our operation!

Your role with us

As a coordinator, you are driving the development of the operation together with colleagues. You work closely with the unit manager and assist with information regarding the operation's needs and daily operations. You will become part of a network with other coordinators within day activities, where you, together with unit managers, drive development issues with a focus on our participants' needs and the operation's development. Therefore, you should have the ability to view the operation from a holistic perspective.

The work is varied and combines administrative responsibility with practical work in the operation together with the participants. You will provide support and guidance in their tasks, help them maintain abilities based on individual needs, and strengthen their participation at different levels.

You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for social documentation and the creation of Implementation Plans according to current guidelines. If necessary, you may also perform medical tasks under delegation.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a strong and positive person who is flexible, solution-focused, fearless, idea-rich, and can put this into practice in everyday life! You are a driven and engaged person with good collaboration skills and work based on the values of the LSS Act. You can work both in groups and individually with participants. You possess the ability to work independently, coordinate, plan, and structure the specific content of the operation, as well as be responsible for internal and external contacts.

You have education from the Child and Youth Program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or the Care and Nursing Program with a professional focus on disability or psychiatry, or other education that the employer finds equivalent. We are looking for you who have experience with LSS operations and preferably also SoL (Social Services Act). Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is a requirement, and we would appreciate experience working with people with mental disabilities and/or challenging behavior.

To continue driving development at OPUS, you need knowledge, experience, and interest in carpentry, creative activities, or Lego work/assembly. We require you to have a B-driver's license, and since a forklift is used in the operation, a forklift license is meritorious.

Since the work requires communication, administration, and documentation, we assume that you have good computer skills and master the Swedish language in speech and writing. We also want you to have experience in administrative work and coordinating responsibilities.

Who we are

The Care Administration's operations are directed towards the elderly and people who need functional support, as well as people who need home healthcare. The operation is functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing housing, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
