Welcome to us

The Area for Work and Income Support is part of the Individual and Family Care and consists of approximately 60 dedicated employees distributed across five units:

• The Reception Unit
• Two Income Support Units, Income Support Unit 1 and 2
• The Unit for Support and Development
• The Unit for Housing Issues and Readiness

We are located in premises in the Slakthusområdet area near Globen with good transport connections.

Your role

As a Social Secretary, you work with both public authority functions and social change work. You investigate and process applications for economic assistance, but above all, you motivate and guide users towards a long-term solution, that is, the path to self-sufficiency. You map needs, match with interventions, and collaborate with internal and external actors to create sustainable results.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have (requirements):

• a degree in Social Work or other relevant education assessed as equivalent
• current experience of working with economic assistance

It is meritorious if you have:

• MI training (Motivational Interviewing)
• experience of working with economic assistance in Stockholm City
