The Faculty of Law in Uppsala is the oldest faculty of law in the Nordic countries and was already in existence when the university was founded in 1477. It offers an extensive and highly regarded undergraduate and graduate education. The Faculty includes the Department of Law, where approximately 200 people are employed.

Responsibilities

Teaching in corporate law for Term Course 5. The responsibilities include preparing, planning, and conducting teaching, primarily in seminar format, keeping up with developments within the legal fields relevant to the position, and performing some course administration. The duties also include examination. Other duties are included according to the local collective agreement.

Description

Corporate law covers general corporate law, particularly company law, as well as regulation concerning capital markets and associations active on capital markets.

Qualifications

A law degree. Administrative proficiency demonstrated by the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an effective and purpose-adapted manner, as well as the ability to set and adhere to deadlines. The work is largely conducted in teaching teams, so emphasis will be placed on the ability to collaborate. Proficiency in teaching in Swedish is a requirement.

Desirable/Additional Merits

Previous teaching experience, including experience at all levels of the law program, and research experience in the relevant subject area. Other work involving legal tasks relevant to the course is also considered advantageous.

About the Position

The position is fixed-term for 9 months. The scope is 100%. Start date: 2026-08-03 or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
