Uddevalla – A Place for Life
Welcome to become part of our growing municipality and work with us to provide even better service to our residents.
We offer an attractive workplace that gives you great opportunities to develop in your professional role. Our goal is for everyone to thrive and grow throughout their entire career. We also strive to develop as an employer and actively work to make the best use of your knowledge and commitment. We appreciate and encourage participation from everyone.
Uddevalla Municipality is a beautiful seaside location in the heart of Bohuslän. We believe in an open and positive interaction between the municipality, education, business, and culture.
We hope you will enjoy working with us!
The Joint Goal/Vision for the Children and Youth Department is:
Together, we provide children and their families in Uddevalla with the right support early on, so that children and young people notice a positive difference in their daily lives.
We are therefore looking for engaged and curious colleagues for our unit for the investigation of children and young people. Welcome to join our team!
Some of Our Strengths
To create good conditions for a sustainable working life, we work according to the FAS Uddevalla model. The model means that investigations follow four clear phases of two weeks each. This means that as a social secretary, you get longer periods during which you can work on your cases without receiving new ones simultaneously. This contributes to a more predictable workday and makes it easier to provide the right and early support to children, young people, and families.
Uddevalla Municipality is at the forefront when it comes to IT, digitalization, and the use of AI-based support. Since October 1, 2025, the investigation unit has been using the app Samtal till Text (Conversations to Text), which records, transcribes, and summarizes conversations with clients.
