The Individual and Family Department (IoF) is responsible for supporting and helping children, young people, and adults in difficult life situations, working preventively to ensure support is given at the right time. We have skilled, engaged, and driven employees with a great sense of humor and close leadership from managers.

Within the department, we cover the areas of Children and Young People – Placement, as well as Outpatient Care. We are responsible for children and young people placed in social care and offer outpatient care with assistance decisions for our children, young people, and their families. We have just over 65 employees in this area. We in Outpatient Unit 2 are now looking for an MST therapist for one of our two MST teams.

MST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a structured family treatment within outpatient care offered to families with children and young people who exhibit norm-breaking behavior, such as crime, substance abuse, school problems, and/or aggression. MST is an evidence-based and intensive treatment program that focuses treatment on the environment where the young person is located: their home and family, school and staff, the local area, and friends.

Outpatient Unit 2 consists of 23 employees led by a unit manager. All employees work on behalf of investigating social secretaries using intensive, structured, and multimodal working methods. Within the unit, there are two MST teams. You will work together with both teams, even if you belong to one team. You share on-call duties and sit in shared premises. We place great emphasis on lack of hierarchy, collaboration between colleagues, feedback, and the courage to be both creative and solution-focused in your work.

Your role

In the role of MST therapist, you will work with young people and their families to change norm-breaking behaviors through multisystemic therapy (MST). You will use the MST method to strengthen relationships in the family, support the young person, and educate parents. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with schools, leisure activities, and other important actors around the young person. As a therapist, you work intensively with 3–4 families simultaneously.

You will be part of a team with four family therapists and a team leader. The work takes place primarily in the family's home, but you will also collaborate with, for example, the police, schools, and leisure leaders. The team has supervision every week, and you will receive support from experienced colleagues and supervisors to develop within the method. Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who:

• are educated as a social worker, a university-educated social pedagogue, or alternatively have another university education assessed as equivalent by the employer.
• have experience in family work, family therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy.
• have experience working on behalf of investigating social secretaries and are accustomed to collaborating with investigation and reception.
• have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as consultation and training partly take place in English.
• have a B driver's license as travel during work occurs.

It is meritorious if you have studied psychotherapy step 1 and/or have equivalent further education in systemic family therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Further education in systemic theoretical methods is a plus.
