Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences

The Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences is an interdisciplinary environment where 10 research areas work to contribute to better medicines and a healthier world. Responsibilities

Teaching in pharmacology, neuropharmacology, and addiction studies, including course laboratories, problem-based learning, seminars, and lectures. Supervision of written assignments and advanced projects at both undergraduate and advanced levels.

Qualifications

Eligibility for appointment as a university adjunct lecturer is granted to those who have demonstrated pedagogical skill or other professional competence relevant to the subject matter and duties of the position (Chapter 4, Section 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance).

According to the Employment Regulations for Uppsala University (AO), eligibility for appointment as a university adjunct lecturer requires a degree from a relevant higher education program. Furthermore, the university's employment regulations state that teachers must possess the personal qualities required to perform the duties well, such as being independent, flexible, and having good teamwork skills. The work requires strong administrative abilities.

A basic degree in pharmacy or equivalent. Documented ability to teach in Swedish. Knowledge in pharmacology, neuropharmacology, and addiction studies is meritorious. Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

About the Position

This is a fixed-term appointment (temporary position) until 2028-08-25. The position is full-time. Start date: 2026-09-01.
