About the Role
We are now looking for a school counselor who wants to be an important part of our student health team and contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for our students.

The position is 70% and is distributed between two of our vocational high schools – 50% in Gothenburg and 20% in Borås. The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period.

As a school counselor, you work preventively and promotively with student health, as well as providing support in psychosocial matters. You collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the right support at the right time.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide support and counseling to students in psychosocial matters
• Participate in the school's student health team and contribute your expertise
• Work preventively and promotively for a good learning environment
• Collaborate with guardians and external actors when necessary

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Is solution-oriented and has a professional approach
• Thrives working both independently and in a team
• Has good administrative skills and works systematically with documentation and follow-up

Qualifications:

• Social work degree or other relevant higher education
• Experience working with children and young people is an advantage
• Knowledge of the school's governing documents and the student health mandate is an advantage
• Experience working as a school counselor and within student health is an advantage.
