We are now looking for a teacher with a focus on health, language, and working life to teach and support individuals who are outside the labor market and have limited language skills, within the framework of various initiatives commissioned by the City of Gothenburg. About the assignment The purpose of the initiatives is generally to strengthen the participants':

• health and well-being
• linguistic and communicative abilities
• basic digital competence
• knowledge of working life and civic life

The goal is for participants to be able to approach the labor market and participate actively in civic life. The scope of the initiatives varies over time and location. The areas you will work with in your role as a health scientist are:

• Health
• Coaching towards an active lifestyle

The role includes:

• mapping participants' health and identifying factors that affect it
• planning changes together with participants that can improve their well-being
• conducting activities such as walks, short exercise sessions, and study visits
• creating individual health profiles and personal health programs that motivate a healthier lifestyle
• inspiring participants to make positive lifestyle changes
• working closely with participants and contributing to creating motivation, security, and hope for the future

We are looking for someone who:

• has a bachelor's degree in health sciences or equivalent
• has a few years of work experience, preferably within education, health, or integration
• enjoys collaborating in teams and meeting people with foreign backgrounds and needs
• has patience, structure, and a good ability to build relationships
• has high digital maturity

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

• working with people with low literacy
• adult education
• speaking Somali, Arabic, or Persian (not a requirement)

• Scope: 40–50% (more if needed) fixed-term employment
• Period: June–July 2026 with good opportunities for extension
• Start date: by agreement
• Contract: according to the collective agreement between Almega and the trade unions Sveriges Lärare and Vision
• Vacation: holiday service with 30 days of vacation entitlement
• Working hours: flexible working time agreement for teachers
• Start: by agreement
