Kallebäck Housing is part of the Housing and Homelessness Division, South West Social Services Administration. At Kallebäck Housing, we provide support and care interventions for individuals aged 50 and over with extensive support needs, combined with substance use disorders and mental health issues.

This housing model has no sobriety requirement. The goal is to provide long-term housing for residents and reduce the negative consequences of harmful substance use to improve quality of life. You will interact daily with individuals exhibiting challenging behavior, so it is important that you feel comfortable being there for them. As one of our fantastic support pedagogues is going on parental leave, we are now looking for a substitute for this position.

As a Support Pedagogue, you report to the unit manager and have a pedagogical and coordinating role regarding the planning, documentation, follow-up, and method guidance for the floor. You lead and distribute the daily work and contribute to the development of the operations. As a Support Pedagogue, you serve as a role model for the staff, which consists of nursing assistants and support assistants, in pedagogical work. Your main task is to teach and convey knowledge and working methods based on evidence-based practices to foster independence within the work groups.

You collaborate closely with your Support Pedagogue colleague on the floor, as well as other Support Pedagogues and other actors within the unit. You are a guarantor of the unit's quality and development work by providing method guidance to care staff regarding attitudes, methods, and social documentation. Through influence, engagement, and learning, you create an efficient operation with high quality. As part of ensuring the operation's quality work, you are responsible for developing method work, following up, and maintaining a holistic view of the operations. The work group consists of employees with different experiences, where our differences are our strength. Working hours are during the day, Monday–Friday. We offer flexible employment.

About you

A basic requirement is that you have post-secondary education as a Support Pedagogue or Social Pedagogue, or alternatively other post-secondary education (university degree/Vocational Higher Education Diploma) that the employer assesses as equivalent. You must also have experience working with harmful substance use, mental health issues, or dual diagnosis. We also expect you to have knowledge and experience working based on evidence-based methods such as Lab, Mi, and ESL.

A B-class driver's license is not a requirement but is considered an advantage. Previous experience in leading others in daily work is also considered an advantage.

You are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to translate these into concrete action. With a focus on the goal, you can reprioritize work when conditions or needs change. You follow up and report on results and goal achievement.

You are comfortable in social situations, stand by decisions made, and can deliver difficult messages when necessary. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as successful as possible.

You are clear, get your ideas heard, and can influence decisions in a certain direction. You can add enthusiasm and energy through persuasive arguments, encouraging good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.

The South West Social Services Administration is one of four social services administrations in the City of Gothenburg, with around 900 employees.
