We are looking for engaged youth coaches on hourly contracts!

Do you want to help shape a safe, meaningful, and inclusive leisure time for young people in Boden? We are looking for Youth Coaches for our youth meeting places. You will work in a youth activity department in a municipality where hope for the future and collaboration are at the center. The Culture, Leisure, and Youth Department is also responsible for the Library, sports facilities, museum, swimming pool, and the Leisure Bank. The department is divided into four areas; Staff, Leisure and Youth, Culture Unit, and Nordpoolen.

Job Responsibilities

Your tasks will include, among other things:

• Create inclusive activities that promote community, creativity, culture, and health
• Meet and support young people in their personal development and social contexts
• Collaborate with young people to design activities based on their needs and interests.
• Carry out activities in different parts of the municipality.
• The work also includes cleaning, purchasing, and café operations.

Part of the work is scheduled during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• At least a high school education, but we prefer that you have a youth leader education, coaching education, or other relevant further education.
• Experience working with children and young people or other target groups within leisure activities, associations, etc.
• You are skilled at expressing yourself both orally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.
• You have basic computer skills
• Category B driver's license

It is meritorious if you have:

• Interest and knowledge in areas such as music, art, creative work, or sports.

You are a secure and positive role model who finds it easy to build good relationships, especially with children and young people. You have the ability to engage and involve young people in the activities, thereby giving them the opportunity to influence. You are curious, open to change, and have a good eye for picking up on needs, desires, and trends, both in the local area and from a broader global perspective. Additionally, you have an interest and ability to continuously evaluate and reflect on both your own and your colleagues' work in relation to the department's mission.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
