Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the job as a School and Activity Coordinator at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a School and Activity Coordinator at our open placements and on our discharge-preparatory unit, you become an important part of the young person's path toward a more independent life. You work together with treatment pedagogues and a group leader on the unit and are part of the multidisciplinary treatment team.

The unit is an open treatment unit and an important part of SiS's internal care chain, aiming for a step-by-step and structured transition from care in an institutional setting to more open forms. The focus is on supporting the young person to establish and maintain functioning strategies and skills for life after placement at SiS. Treatment activities consist mainly of skills training aimed at preparing the young person for a functioning life after discharge, both practically and socially.

The School and Activity Coordinator's task is to procure, coordinate, plan, and follow up on schooling, leisure activities, internships, summer jobs, and other interventions and activities. This involves significant collaboration with both internal and external parties, such as schools, workplaces, and sports clubs. You work together with the unit staff regarding the daily planning of the young people and how it should be carried out. An important common task for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that safety is maintained according to routines.

To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of humanity and good self-awareness. You are motivated to help people in a vulnerable life situation and you share SiS's value base, to be a place for change. Furthermore, you have personal maturity and distinguish between the private and the professionally personal in relationships at work. You communicate clearly and ensure that expectations are clear.

You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively, collaborate well with others, and enjoy building and maintaining professional relationships. You are able to build relationships, motivate, and create cooperation with children and young people with challenging behaviors, and make children and young people feel trust and confidence in their own abilities. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
