The Social Services Department is facing a major transformation. With the new Social Services Act, the focus is strengthened on early interventions, increased accessibility, participation, and a more preventive approach. Digitalization is a crucial enabler in this development.

We are now looking for a Development Manager who wants to take a key role in leading and coordinating the implementation of e-services, welfare technology, and AI within the social services – with the needs of citizens at the center.

As a Development Manager, you are responsible for driving digital development within the social services in line with the new Social Services Act. You work at both strategic and operational levels and ensure that digital solutions contribute to increased accessibility, enhanced participation, and improved service for citizens.

You lead change work in close collaboration with operations and other support functions within the social services and Piteå Municipality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of e-services and digital solutions that facilitate contact, participation, and accessibility for citizens
• Drive the implementation of welfare technology and digital support for both citizens and employees
• Contribute to the social services' transformation towards a more preventive and accessible approach
• Ensure that digital development takes place in a legally secure, ethical, and compliant manner
• Act as a bridge between operations, IT, legal, and information security
• Collaborate with other municipalities, regional, and national actors
• Monitor and highlight the benefits of implemented solutions

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college degree in a relevant field, or other knowledge and experience that can be assessed as relevant
• Experience in development or change work within the public sector
• Good understanding of the social services' mission and regulations
• Experience in leading or coordinating digitalization initiatives
• Ability to translate legislation and goals into practical operational development
• Valid driver's license

More about the position

Project employment until 2027-12-31, full-time. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8-17.
