We are looking for a musical director for our children's and youth activities at the association Aktiv Ungdom Malmö for the autumn term of 2026.

The position involves teaching for approximately 2–4 hours per week. This is a hourly-paid position working on weekday evenings and/or Saturdays during a 10–12 week period, with a break for the autumn holiday. The assignment covers the autumn of 2026, roughly from August/September to December. The positions are located in various venues around Malmö, including Limhamn, Hyllie, and Kirseberg.

We run a musical and drama school for children from approximately 6 years old up to about 16 years old.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about theatre and/or musicals and enjoys sharing your knowledge.
• Is a social person who fosters community and a sense of security for all children and young people, as well as their parents/guardians.
• Has participated in musical activities as a participant and possibly also as a leader.
• Can sing and lead vocal training sessions.
• Values development, both for yourself and your students.
• Is self-sufficient. You are solely responsible during your musical lessons, which includes tasks such as locking/unlocking the alarm system and taking attendance. You may also work together with an assistant.

Active Youth Malmö is a children's and youth association offering cultural activities in dance, theatre, musicals, and art school. Our ideology and working method are based on age-segmented teaching with a strong focus on social cohesion within the group. We naturally also value the development of the group as a whole and each individual student, but we operate without an elitist mindset. We also host numerous workshops, holiday programs, and events throughout the year.

We stage a small musical production every term, where all students have the opportunity to participate.
