Enebackeskolan, Gudmuntorp School, and Prästkragen School in Höör are now looking for an engaged and creative school librarian who wants to develop our library into an even stronger pedagogical resource.

The majority of the position is at Enebackeskolan, 70%. The remaining 30% is distributed between Gudmuntorp School and Prästkragen School.

The schools are located in the beautiful and nature-rich municipality of Höör. Enebackeskolan is a preschool to year 6 school with approx. 210 students, Gudmuntorp School is a preschool to year 6 school with approx. 100 students, and Prästkragen School is the municipality's resource school with approx. 10 students.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a school librarian with us, you will become an important part of the school's operations. You work closely with teachers and student health services to support students' language development, reading, and ability to handle information in a digitized society.

The role includes:

• Responsibility for the daily operations of the school library
• Stimulating students' love of reading through activities and projects
• Collaborating with teachers regarding instruction in information search and source criticism
• Developing the library as a pedagogical resource
• Participating in the school's values work and language-developing initiatives
• Planning and conducting book talks, theme days, and reading-promoting activities

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who:

• Have education in library and information science or equivalent
• Have good knowledge of children's and young adult literature
• Are pedagogical, creative, and team-oriented
• Have good digital competence

It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a school librarian.

The position will be filled subject to required political decisions being made and that it does not need to be utilized for internal use.
