We are now looking for a school librarian for Vasavångsskolan F-6 who wants to play a key role in the students' learning!

Do you want to inspire a love of reading and strengthen students' information competence in a safe and engaged school environment? At Vasavångsskolan, you will have a central role where the library becomes a natural part of teaching and students' development.

The position is a temporary assignment starting in September.

Your assignment

As a school librarian, you are a central part of the pedagogical work. You actively contribute to students' knowledge development and work with all grades from preschool class to grade 6.

Your assignment includes among other things:

• Integrate the school library into teaching and be an active pedagogical resource
• Drive and develop the school's reading promotion work
• Strengthen students' media and information literacy (MIL)
• Guide students and teachers in information searching, source criticism, and digital competence
• Be responsible for staffing and development of the school library
• Collaborate with public libraries to promote reading and interest in literature

Your experience

We are looking for you who have the right competence and experience to strengthen the role of the school library in teaching.

• Education in library and information science or equivalent
• Experience working in a school library or pedagogical activity
• Good knowledge of information searching and source criticism
• Experience in reading promotion work with children and young people
• Ability to collaborate with educators and contribute to school development
