Do you want to inspire children and young people to love reading and spark curiosity?

Malmö Friskola is a school with 150 students in Malmö, and we are now looking for an engaged and creative librarian for our school library.

About the Role

As a librarian with us, you will play a vital role in the school's pedagogical work. You will be responsible for the school library and work closely with teachers and students to create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the school library
• Inspire students to read and search for information
• Support students in source criticism and media and information literacy
• Collaborate with teachers on reading projects and teaching
• Purchase, catalog, and develop our school library collection
• Plan activities such as book recommendations, themed days, and reading promotion projects

We are looking for someone who

• Has a degree in library and information science or similar education
• Has a strong interest in children's and young people's reading and learning
• Is self-motivated, flexible, and skilled at building relationships
• Previous experience from a school library is an advantage

About the Employment

• Part-time, approximately 40–60%
• Start date to be agreed upon
