I am now looking for a female personal assistant who wants to work 12-hour shifts. The position is a summer temporary vacancy with a work time of 50–60 %.

I am a woman, almost 39 years old, living an independent life, making all my own decisions, and leading my daily life. I have a physical disability that requires personal assistance to enable me to live my life. I have difficulty controlling and coordinating my muscles, which also affects my ability to speak. People who know me well understand me, and it is not difficult to learn. You can rest assured – if it is difficult to understand a word, a mobile phone or computer is available as an aid. For transfers, I use a hoist.

I am married and live in a terraced house in Kungälv with my husband.

About you as an assistant:

I am looking for a calm and perceptive woman who can follow my pace when the situation requires it. You should be present in my daily life – often in the background – and act as my arms and legs. In many situations, you will also need to help me interpret my speech to outsiders.

It is important that you are a non-smoker, and that the personal chemistry between us is right – this is essential.

Since I have speech difficulties, you must be fluent in speaking and writing Swedish to avoid misunderstandings.

Working Hours

I have 24-hour assistance, and shifts are 12 hours long, either 08:00–20:00 or 20:00–08:00. During the night, I have a waiting time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.

I also have double assistance sometimes, as I usually exercise.

In many assignments, the person entitled to assistance is the employer themselves, while in others, a deputy employer has been appointed. Assignments and roles vary depending on the operation and function.

GIL’s office provides support in areas such as employer guidance, administration, finance, HR, and training. Together, we contribute to making daily life work for both those entitled to assistance and employees within the cooperative.
