The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and home-based healthcare, individual and family care, and care and nursing homes. The home care and home-based healthcare services in Ulricehamn Municipality are responsible for interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
The Case Processing Unit within the Welfare Sector is responsible for ensuring high-quality public administration for elderly care, benefit case processing, and housing adaptations. The unit works to provide the right support and assistance to our clients, both those living in ordinary housing and those staying at the municipality's short-stay unit. We handle cases with great care, ensure legally secure decisions, and contribute to a good quality of life for our elderly.

Job Responsibilities
As a Social Secretary, you are a key person in the work of investigating, assessing, and making decisions on interventions based on the individual's needs. Your work is characterized by a legally secure approach where the individual is always at the center. You contribute to creating security and a meaningful existence for our clients. The work involves both independent responsibility and close collaboration in a tightly knit team. You will collaborate closely with colleagues within healthcare and social care as well as external partners. For us, it is also important that you contribute to a positive and collaborative work climate, where we jointly follow the guidelines and routines established to maintain a high standard of our work.
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations and assessments according to the Social Services Act (SoL)
- Make decisions on interventions based on individual needs
- Document and follow up on approved interventions
- Collaborate with internal and external actors
- Contribute to a good collaborative climate and follow current guidelines and routines
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a higher education relevant to the assignment, for example, a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer considers equivalent. You preferably have experience working as a case processor within public administration. It is an advantage if you have training in IBIC and previous experience with the business system Treserva. A driver's license is required for the position, as well as good knowledge of the legislation governing and regulating the operations.
To succeed in the assignment, you are flexible and have good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an effective manner. The role places high demands on you being solution-focused, able to work independently, and simultaneously maintaining structure and quality even during periods of high workload. You have a professional and respectful attitude, good collaboration skills, and a genuine interest in working with people in the target group.
