At Killingen, we are now looking for a warm and engaged colleague who wants to contribute to creating safety, joy, and development for children and young people with disabilities.

Here, you work in a wonderful and supportive team that together creates a meaningful existence for our young people. The work involves seeing, listening to, and meeting each individual based on their needs, wishes, and dreams.

Working hours are scheduled for afternoons, evenings, weekends, as well as awake and sleeping on-call shifts, which means you must be able to work irregularly.

About Killingen

Killingen is located in a quiet and green residential area in Töreboda, with a large outdoor area inviting play and activity. Here we offer short-term stays and short-term supervision – two important interventions that provide children and young people with a change of scenery, recreation, and community, while also giving relatives a break.

From August 2026, we have two support educators with overall responsibility and two coordinators who plan schedules and operations in consultation with the unit manager. You create your own schedule, meaning you as an employee have the opportunity to influence your work schedule based on the needs of the operation – which always comes first.

Your Role

As a support assistant here, you are a secure adult who supports, encourages, and guides children and young people in their daily lives. You plan and carry out activities and interventions based on each child's needs and implementation plan.

The work primarily focuses on recreation, development of autonomy, and self-determination. We strive to work according to the principle of "hands behind the back" and identify what support – both physical and cognitive – the individual needs.

The goal is for each individual to feel involved, independent, and important.

You document interventions in the operation system Lifecare and work together with support assistants, support educators, and the unit manager to develop the operation's pedagogical interventions. The work also includes care duties and practical tasks such as laundry and cooking.

We are looking for you who

• Understand intellectual disability, autism, speech disorders, and other related disabilities that may qualify for LSS interventions
• Have experience working with the target group and are well-versed in the LSS Act and its intentions
• Are calm, sensitive, and work with a low-affective approach
• Have the ability to reflect before problem-solving
• Want to work with children and young people who challenge your way of thinking
• Can collaborate and take initiative within given frameworks

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

We would like you to have

• A vocational degree from the Care and Nursing Program, Child and Youth Program, or equivalent
• Experience working within LSS, preferably with children and young people
• Knowledge and experience of clarifying pedagogy, low-affective approach, and functional analysis
• Experience with social documentation
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Category B driver's license
