The hospital in Hässleholm offers a dynamic work environment with wards where admissions primarily come from our own emergency department. In addition to these wards, we have a comprehensive elective orthopedic operation and a large outpatient clinic with various specialties. Our emergency department is open to adult patients in need of acute care within medical specialties.

The emergency department operates from 08:00 to 20:00 every day of the week. Our weekend clinic is open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10:00 to 16:00, serving patients who cannot wait for their regular health center to open.

The Administration for Close Care and Health is under construction and has been in operation since January 1, 2025. The Acute Care Close to Home business area consists of the emergency departments in Skåne that do not have 24/7 operations, as well as all evening and weekend clinics in Skåne. RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a nurse who wants varied work in our emergency department and weekend clinic. You are offered great opportunities to develop over time through ongoing training, as we have the help of a fantastic training nurse who ensures everyone stays updated according to needs. She is also involved in planning introductions and mentoring. You are offered an individual introduction for up to 12 weeks so that you can feel confident in your professional role and in performing your tasks both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues.

In our emergency department, you primarily work with prioritizing, treating, and caring for acutely ill patients, as well as triaging, making assessments, and providing advice. We work according to the RETTS prioritization system to ensure patient safety and use the triage handbook as support during triage. You work alternately with internal and external contacts, such as other units in the hospital, public authorities, and other healthcare providers.

The tasks during the weekend clinic include: telephone advice, triage, sample collection, and assistance at the doctor's clinic. You will also be involved in improvement and development work. Our goal is to offer our patients high medical quality and a good work environment for our employees.

What is particularly exciting about this position is that you get the chance to gain good insight into our various operations and develop in both acute care and the triage of patients to the right healthcare facility. There are opportunities to expand your competence by combining your position with our acute care ward, with which we have good cooperation.

You will work according to a schedule with varying working hours, including day shifts, evening shifts, and two weekends out of five.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare and who have a few years of experience in the role. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required.

If you have specialist education, such as further education as a district nurse and/or emergency nurse, work experience from acute hospital care or primary care, and knowledge of the medical record system PMO/Melior, we consider this to be meritorious.
