About the position

The unit is responsible for coordinating the cross-authority steering, planning, and follow-up of FMV's support to Ukraine through collaboration with Ukraine, the Swedish Armed Forces, and other authority collaboration.

The unit and the operations for the Ukraine Office were previously part of the Planning Unit, but are now to become a separate unit where you, as manager, are responsible for collaborating with other Swedish authorities and multi- and bilateral international relations. In the role, you represent FMV in matters related to Ukraine. As a manager, you are responsible for achieving set goals, ensuring quality in follow-up and reporting, and creating good conditions for employees to develop and perform. FMV's support to Ukraine is an important political issue, which entails extra follow-up and reporting directly to the Government Offices.

You represent FMV's vision, goals, and values. You have operational responsibility, employer responsibility, and economic responsibility, and are your employees' most important communication channel.

The position is located in Stockholm, with travel to Ukraine and other countries occurring.

About you

We are looking for you who have an academic education in a field relevant to the position or competence acquired in other ways that we assess as equivalent. To succeed in the role, it is necessary that you have current experience as a manager with personnel responsibility as well as experience in leading personnel. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have experience in leading and distributing varied tasks. Furthermore, we would like you to have relevant experience from work within the public sector, the defense sector, and from international collaborations. If you have experience working in a security-sensitive operation, we view this positively, as well as if you have completed leadership training. If you have knowledge of the Ukrainian language, we see this as an advantage.
