The Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society (MUCF) is a government agency that produces knowledge about young people's living conditions and the prerequisites for civil society. MUCF has been tasked by the government to work towards achieving the goals within youth policy and civil society policy. We do this by producing, collecting, and disseminating knowledge and contributing to the coordination of state efforts. We collaborate with agencies, municipalities, regions, and civil society organizations, as well as distribute state grants.

The Division for Civil Society Issues has the main task of working to increase the knowledge of public actors about civil society, religious communities, and national minorities, as well as promoting collaboration between state agencies and civil society, religious communities, and national minorities. The division also has a support function for civil society organizations regarding administrative matters.

Description

The Centre for Religious Communities acts as a link between public actors and religious communities and works to create dialogue, strengthen collaboration, and increase knowledge about religious community issues in public operations. We are now looking for a case officer for a six-month fixed-term position located at our office in Stockholm.

Responsibilities

As a case officer at the Centre for Religious Community Issues, you will work on collaboration between religious communities, municipalities, regions, agencies, and other relevant actors within civil society and the public sector.

The work aims to strengthen dialogue, knowledge development, and collaboration between religious communities and public actors in various societal issues. Part of the work involves issues related to crisis preparedness and civil defense, where the experiences, networks, and activities of religious communities constitute an important resource. However, the assignment also covers broader collaboration and development issues related to the role of religious communities in society.

You will contribute to developing and maintaining collaboration structures at the national, regional, and local levels, as well as supporting various forms of networks, meetings, and knowledge-raising initiatives.

The work also involves monitoring societal development within the area and contributing to various forms of support for both public actors and religious communities. You will collaborate with relevant agencies, municipalities, and organizations on issues such as social sustainability, crisis preparedness, and the role of religious communities in society.

You will work closely with other employees within the Centre for Religious Community Issues. The tasks are varied and require good teamwork skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle issues within several different areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant academic education in fields such as social sciences, political science, law/administrative law, humanities, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Relevant professional experience may be considered equivalent.
• Experience of working within a municipality, government agency, or other public operations,
• Experience of working with collaboration issues, civil society issues, or religious community issues,
• Good knowledge of the role and organization of religious communities in Sweden and internationally,
• Good computer literacy and very good knowledge of the Office package,
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• Working with issues related to crisis preparedness, social sustainability, or civil defense,
• Collaboration between public actors and religious communities, both nationally and internationally
• Working with government assignments, network work, education, or coordination.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and have good analytical skills. You find it easy to create and maintain good collaborations and thrive working in collaboration with many different actors. The role requires that you can take initiative, work independently, and at the same time contribute to joint processes in complex issues.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Conditions

Fixed-term position for six months. Location: Stockholm.

Travel within Sweden occurs in the position.
