Gransäterskolan is looking for a Mathematics/Science teacher for lower secondary school (100%)

Gransäterskolan is a two-stream school for grades 0–9 with approximately 500 students, where safety, relationships, and a clear focus on knowledge with high expectations permeate the operations. Our facilities also house Aspen, the municipality's special education group, which contributes broad competence and an inclusive perspective.

Here, you become part of a dedicated team where collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility are in focus. We develop our teaching to create good conditions for all students' learning and development. Collaboration with external actors, such as the police and social services, is a natural part of our preventive and safety-building work at the lower secondary level.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach mathematics and science at the lower secondary level and serve as a mentor for students. The role includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching according to the curriculum, as well as collaborating closely with colleagues, student health services, guardians, and, when necessary, external agencies such as the police and social services to support the students' overall development.

There is an opportunity to combine this position with a lead teacher assignment in mathematics. The appointment is reviewed each academic year based on the organization's needs and requires that the criteria for lead teachers are met.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher with eligibility to teach mathematics and science for grades 7–9
• has a strong ability to create safe relationships and a structured learning environment
• values collaboration and collegial learning
• possesses strong subject didactic skills and works systematically with clear goals, assessment, and follow-up according to curriculum guidelines
• wishes to contribute to the school's continued development and collaborate with both internal and external actors

It is an advantage if you have eligibility in all three science subjects.
