Housing Consultant for Social Services at the Reception Unit
Do you want to make a difference in people's lives while contributing to the development of social services' work with housing issues? Then this might be the job for you!
We are now looking for a driven, engaged, and curious Housing Consultant who wants to help develop our operations and work towards sustainable housing solutions for our users.
At the reception unit, we have proud and skilled employees with many years of experience in the field. We are a flexible unit that values teamwork to achieve our goals. We offer you a positive work environment built on strong social support between the unit manager, team leaders, and employees. The unit uses continuous supervision and feedback to develop in professional roles and to advance the operations.
The reception unit consists of a joint reception divided into children and youth and adult sections, a social housing team, and a team focused on domestic violence. The unit has three team leaders who offer close and coaching supervision, and a unit manager responsible for operations, personnel, and budget. The unit consists of a total of 25 employees.
As a Housing Consultant with us, you work with both authority functions and make decisions regarding assistance for housing solutions, as well as follow-up work in our apartments. The team also works with preventive and outreach activities to counter homelessness, as well as offering information and counseling to people regarding housing issues.
We work in a collaborative organization, and you will collaborate closely with social secretaries in other units as well as external actors such as landlords, authorities, and partners.
We are looking for you who are a social worker or have another academic education that the employer deems equivalent. You are driven, forward-looking, and curious with a genuine interest in social work, especially regarding housing issues. Furthermore, we want you to enjoy working both independently and in teams. You need to be structured, responsible, and solution-focused, and have a good ability to be flexible and reprioritize when the work requires it. Previous experience in working with housing issues and law in this area is meritorious.
