Project Worker for Follow-up of Upper Secondary Students
In Mölndal City, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work in. Come and make a difference in people's daily lives every day!
The Education Administration in Mölndal City is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, adult education, study and career guidance, municipal university college, and the municipal activity responsibility. Our vision is to be a leading educational provider with an attractive, high-quality offering. This means developing a modern and competitive upper secondary and adult segment as well as a university college in close collaboration with local and regional working life. One of our most important tasks is also to create opportunities for young adults to establish themselves on the labor market.
We are now developing a new initiative within the project Follow-up of Upper Secondary Students for young people who struggle to establish themselves in studies and working life due to mental health issues and other life challenges. Therefore, we are looking for a project worker who wants to help build and develop this new operation.
The position is a full-time project employment, with the possibility of part-time work during a one-year period, with potential extension depending on the project's development.
1 position(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
About the project:
The project has demonstrated the need for early, coordinated, and relationship-building approaches for young people at risk of distancing themselves from studies, work, and social participation due to mental health issues and other life challenges.
The work is inspired by the CatchUp operation in Hamburg and is based on a systemic and strength-based approach focusing on the individual's resources, relationships, and opportunities for change. Through dialogue, participation, and trusting relationships, conditions are created for young people to strengthen their mental health, motivation, and hope for the future, as well as to find pathways forward in studies, work, and community life.
The project also aims to strengthen collaboration between schools, student health services, social services, and other actors to develop more accessible and coordinated support measures for young people in need of support, with a focus on increasing graduation rates.
Tasks:
As a project worker, you will work in a supportive and relationship-building manner with young people who have difficulties in upper secondary school or are far from studies and work due to mental health issues and other life challenges.
The assignment includes identifying goals, resources, and pathways forward together with the young person, and contributing to motivation, participation, and hope for the future through dialogue and trusting relationships. You will also collaborate with schools, student health services, social services, and other actors around the young person to contribute to early, coordinated, and accessible support measures.
The work also involves spreading knowledge about the operation, contributing to the implementation of the approach in the municipality, and participating in development, documentation, and experience sharing within the project.
You will work closely with the Follow-up Team and the project manager within the Follow-up of Upper Secondary Students project.
