We are now looking for wonderful colleagues who want to work on an hourly basis for our cases within personal assistance.

You will base your work on the user's needs and utilize their own resources. In most cases, the user has extensive needs for care and support, which means you need experience in care and nursing work. Much of the work is carried out independently, which means you need to be confident in yourself and capable of working alone.

To ensure a secure start in your new workplace with us, you will undergo an introduction once the entire recruitment process is complete.

Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you support and motivate the user in the parts of life they find difficult to carry out on their own. The goal is for them to be able to live as independent a life as possible.

You will support the person in daily life with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and communication. This may also involve, for example, exercise, housework, and activities together. You will have an independent and varied job, where tasks are based on each user's life situation.

The role of personal assistant places high demands on responsibility-taking and the ability to build good relationships. The work is performed individually, so it is very important that you feel comfortable with this.

Low-affective handling is a central concept in your assignment as challenging behaviors may arise. You strive to work structured with clarifying pedagogy and social documentation.

It is important that collaboration occurs in a professional manner with different professional categories as well as the network around the individual.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• Good mental and physical capacity.
• Experience from care and nursing work.
• You are confident in yourself and have a genuine desire to help other people.
• Professional handling of users.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both oral and written.
• Good knowledge of mobile and computer usage.
• Mobile Bank-Id or Freja-Id.
• Can receive delegation of health and medical care measures, such as medication delegation.
• Class B driver's license is desirable and in some cases a requirement.

Merits:

Since the tasks largely depend on the needs of each individual person, it is difficult to specify a common competence profile for all assistants. However, the following are considered merits:

• Education in care and nursing, child and youth care, support assistant, or nursing assistant, or started education in any of these.
• Previous experience working with sign language support.
• Low-affective handling and pedagogical approach.
• Experience documenting regarding users.
• Previous work with alternative communication (AAC) or WidgitGo.

What does our recruitment process look like?

• Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period based on the operations needs.
• In addition to conversations and a physical interview with the recruitment specialist and unit manager, you will also meet the user and/or their relatives/guardian together with the unit manager.
• You need to provide two managerial references, one of which must be your current or most recent manager. Do you have no previous work experience? Check with the recruitment specialist.
• If you have previously been employed within Kungälv Municipality, we will contact the former manager to obtain internal references as part of our recruitment process.
• For this position, a background check will be conducted according to law. Before employment can be entered into, extracts from the criminal record and suspicion registers must be presented, and the extract must not be older than six months.
