On behalf of our client, we are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer for an innovative high-tech company in Stockholm that develops advanced network and connectivity solutions. The company works with next-generation optical network solutions and has customers in telecom, cloud, enterprise, and the public sector internationally. About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work with the development and further development of the company's network management platform and backend solutions. You will become part of an international R&D team that develops complete systems within both hardware and software. The role suits you if you enjoy working close to complex technology, modern backend architectures, and network-related solutions in an environment with high technical ambitions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions and REST APIs
• Work with modern web frameworks and databases
• Develop and improve microservice architectures
• Work with containerization and distributed systems
• Collaborate closely with developers in both software and hardware
• Contribute to architecture, quality, and technical improvements
• Participate in debugging, performance optimization, and technical problem solving

Requirements

• Several years of experience in backend development
• Strong competence in Python development
• Experience with web frameworks and REST APIs
• Experience with databases and backend architecture
• Good communication skills in English
• Relevant university or civil engineering degree in fields such as computer science or electrical engineering

Merits

• Experience with Django and Django REST Framework
• Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker)
• Experience with asynchronous programming, e.g., Asyncio or Celery
• Linux development
• Knowledge in network technology such as IP, Ethernet, or DWDM
• Experience with SDN architectures and protocols such as RESTCONF, NETCONF, or gNMI
• Experience with agile development

The team works according to SAFe methodology, and the position is located in Kista, Stockholm, with the possibility of some hybrid work.
