Are you a clear, empathetic, and engaged person who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are now looking for one or more support assistants for a new operation in the form of housing with special services for children and young people within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) framework.

Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an operation where care, development, and the individual's needs are at the center. Initially, there is a housing unit for one child. Your task will be to create and maintain a secure and predictable daily life for the child together with colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant in this operation, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of the intervention. You will work closely with a child and be part of a team that collaborates closely with the child's parents, healthcare, and school to ensure the child has a functional life.

Your job responsibilities will include:

• Planning, implementing, and adapting activities based on the child's current situation.
• Assisting with personal care.
• Creating and maintaining secure and predictable routines for the child.
• Working together with a small team of colleagues.
• Collaborating with parents and other professionals to ensure the goals of the intervention are met.
• Documenting and reporting to ensure continuity in the support.

The work involves working every other weekend, and in addition to working in the specific assignment, some shifts for scheduling reasons will take place within other LSS operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for clear, engaged, and empathetic support assistants who want to contribute to creating a predictable life and secure housing. To fit the role, we would like you to have:

• Relevant education in pedagogy, social work, or care and nursing.
• Experience working with children and young people, preferably within the LSS area.
• Experience in meeting people with challenging behavior in an attentive and low-affective manner.
• An understanding of the challenges and needs that children with disabilities may have.
• The ability to work both independently and in a team, with a positive attitude and great flexibility.
• Creativity and the ability to adapt activities to individual needs and interests.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both children and parents.
• Commitment to continuously developing and improving our operations.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).
