Who will you work with?

Ebba is 16 years old, has a rare diagnosis called Rett syndrome, and lives with her parents and younger sister in Lindome, not far from Lindome station (fifteen minutes by train from Gothenburg).

Ebba enjoys being around people who are creative, proactive, and like to come up with activities. She loves music and enjoys bathing. As her assistant, you will work with Ebba to practice communication using an eye-controlled computer, carry out physiotherapy exercises, and assist her with other basic needs. Ebba has mild epilepsy, needs help with feeding, and receives medication via a PEG button. You will also be Ebba's opportunity for interaction with others in her surroundings and provide support for her outward communication.

Scope of the position

Ebba is primarily looking for someone to be her assistant this summer during her school holidays. It is also desirable that you can step in as an hourly substitute before the summer.

Shifts include day and evening shifts on weekdays as well as weekends. Some weekdays include an on-call sleeping shift, where you work until 07:30 in the morning. On weekends, you can work both day and evening shifts.

Both Ebba and her family value personal maturity in their assistant, meaning you are calm and confident in yourself, self-motivated, proactive, highly empathetic, and know when to step forward and when to step back.

A driver's license and car are meritorious but not required.
