Method Supervisor for the Family Peace Team in Mölndal

In Mölndal Municipality, we are proud to have Sweden's most important job, where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work in. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!

The Social and Employment Administration provides support, security, and new opportunities for the residents of Mölndal. The administration is responsible for individual and family care, refugee reception, and labor market initiatives.

Our ambition is that every resident in Mölndal should feel seen and secure, and be able to trust that their rights are upheld. Through collaboration, courage, and a responsive approach, we want to contribute to Mölndal residents being able to live independent lives and have the opportunity to build their future.

Together with other actors, we work for a sustainable society with a strong focus on early and preventive work. We want to be a social services department that is where the people of Mölndal are.

Do you want to take on the challenge of method-supervising an experienced group of social secretaries and therapists?

Do you have previous experience in leadership? Then we have the job for you! Those who work at the Open Care unit consist of a family peace team (violence in close relationships), four family therapy teams with different orientations, a field team, a contact activity, two family centers, a network team, as well as social secretaries with the police/SSPF-coordinator. There are three unit managers, two method supervisors, and approximately 30 employees at the unit.

We have different competencies and backgrounds, but what we have in common is that we are engaged, have a strong child's perspective, and work according to the Signs of Safety approach. We work closely together, are non-hierarchical, enjoy our work, and provide each other with great collegial support.

1 position(s).

Job Responsibilities

The current position is an expansion of the method supervisor role from two to three, targeting the team working with violence in close relationships, the family peace team. In the team, we meet both people who are subjected to violence in close relationships and those who perpetrate the violence. The target group also includes honor-related violence and oppression, as well as those offering sex for payment. The team's responsibilities also include processing placements in protected housing.

Since you will work together with the other method supervisors on development issues, you may also have certain tasks in collaboration with the other teams and units.

In your role, you are to coordinate and develop the work in the team and at the unit. The assignment involves supporting therapists in daily operational work, coaching and guiding towards qualitative and effective interventions, as well as distributing cases. You will also work with quality assurance of interventions, documentation, and developing new and existing methods.

You should be able to support therapists in structuring and prioritizing in daily work and also provide support in difficult meetings. Having drive and a desire to, if necessary, participate in direct work with clients is seen as an asset.

We are also in an exciting development and change with a new Social Services Act, where we aim to become even more accessible and evidence-based, among other things by reviewing which interventions we can offer without prior needs assessment. This means the position has great development opportunities, and you will be able to participate in shaping the role based on what you bring to it.

In your assignment, you work closely with the unit managers on issues such as follow-up, statistics, and operational development. You participate in the unit's recruitment processes, are responsible for the introduction of new employees together with the unit managers, and provide certain input during salary reviews. The unit manager has responsibility for working environment/personnel and budget, but you are involved in the unit's working environment and goal work.

As a method supervisor, you also work with external processes that affect the operation's mandate. This occurs to a high degree in active collaboration with therapists, law-enforcing social secretaries, and other actors within and outside the social services.

Qualifications

The position requires a social work degree or another university education that the employer deems equivalent.

You have long and broad experience in social work, and experience in leadership, preferably as a method supervisor, is meritorious. We would like you to have personal experience of working with therapy and violence in close relationships. You have a strong commitment, are creative, and solution-focused. Furthermore, you are good at listening, communicating, and supporting social secretaries and therapists in difficult processes.

As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and pedagogical, and have good collaboration skills. You have good knowledge of current legislation and have the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

We offer external supervision.

Interviews will take place continuously during the application period, so do not wait with your application!

Employment Type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent.

We see diversity as a strength and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds.

We wish to inform you that your application is a public document according to the principle of public access.

Before any potential employment, we will check citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to present a valid residence/work permit or prove that you are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit.

In connection with the recruitment process, we have taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore expressly decline contact with media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar.
