Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for engaged and responsible employees for our operations. The positions are distributed between the Sorunda group homes or between the Postmästaren and Solglänta group homes as the operations are planned together.

Since we work with people, no two days are alike. You need to have the ability to quickly adapt, think creatively, and be innovative. The variety in the work ensures that you are constantly challenged and developed. Here you will contribute to a positive energy that spreads and creates a better environment for everyone.

In the role of support assistant, you provide individually adapted support in everyday life, both at home and during activities outside the residence. You work based on the individuals' implementation plans and their individual goals. The work is designed together with the individual and in collaboration with relatives/near ones, representatives, day activities, and healthcare. Therefore, the work requires flexibility and teamwork skills.

We continuously work on developing support and creating clarity in everyday life through adapted communication and pedagogical aids, such as picture support and schedules. Among other things, Widgit Online and Picture My Life are used in the operations.

Documentation is carried out according to current legislation, and social documentation is a central part of the work. The work can be physically demanding in certain situations and involve support in daily activities, which requires good physical fitness.

Working hours are scheduled, and planning is done in the operation system Time Care, which offers the possibility to influence your own work schedule to some extent.

About the Workplace

The main task of the Social Services is to offer individually adapted support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and family, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents through all stages of life. The Disability Support department provides support to persons who have been granted interventions based on the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments (LSS).

The Sorunda group homes are located near forests and nature, but with proximity to bus connections. There are two group homes with a total of 11 residential places. The work group consists of 17 support assistants and a group manager. The Solglänta group home comprises seven apartments and is located in a rural environment in Ösmo, near beautiful forest areas, but only a stone's throw from a densely built-up area with access to several bus and train connections. The Postmästaren group home, with five apartments, is located in the center of Nynäshamn, near public transport, shops, and the beautiful harbor area.

The work group for these operations consists of 12 support assistants and a group manager.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role, you have:

• nursing education with a focus on functional variations or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• current or recent experience of working in group and/or service housing within LSS
• recent relevant experience of clarifying pedagogy and clarifying working methods
• experience of working with behavioral problems
• basic computer skills
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience and knowledge of low-affective handling
• experience with digital aid systems (Widgitonline and PictureMyLife)
• experience of working with challenging/extroverted behavior
• experience of working with alternative communication
• Category B driver's license
