Bengtsfors Municipality – A place to thrive and grow!
In the heart of Dalsland, surrounded by lakes and beautiful nature, lies Bengtsfors Municipality. Here, quality of life is combined with development opportunities in a secure and welcoming environment. Bengtsfors is perhaps best known for its scenic surroundings, its 399 lakes covering approximately 17 percent of the area, and the Dalsland Canal which flows through several towns in the municipality. The municipality has five urban areas, with Bengtsfors being the central town. The other towns are Dals Långed, Billingsfors, Bäckefors, and Skåpafors.
Bengtsfors Municipality is the largest employer in the area, and together we work to create a sustainable and attractive municipality for our employees, residents, and businesses. We value joy in work and strive to create an attractive working environment with high well-being and engagement – all set in one of Sweden’s most scenic locations.
Welcome to Bengtsfors Municipality!
Are you ready for a meaningful job where you make a difference for the people of Bengtsfors? We are looking for 1–2 casual employees (hourly paid) for our supported housing group within social psychiatry.
If you are studying social work or a similar field, you now have the opportunity to get involved in work related to the target group within social psychiatry. The target group consists of people with mental disabilities and other limitations that prevent them from fully participating in what society offers all residents. Within social psychiatry in Bengtsfors, there is also an open day activity center that people can attend without a formal care decision.
About the role
As a casual employee, you will have the chance to truly focus on the target group within social psychiatry and experience social work firsthand. You will support people in their daily lives, handling everything from practical tasks to providing secure psychosocial support. You will need to collaborate with several different professions when working within social psychiatry. The flexibility and variety in tasks mean that no two days are alike. With us, you are not just part of the team; you are part of something bigger!
Your superpowers
- You have a genuine interest in working with people, particularly within social psychiatry.
- Good ability to communicate and collaborate with both colleagues and residents.
- Ability to be sensitive and adaptable in different situations.
- Previous experience in similar work is a plus, but we appreciate all strengths you can bring to the table.
- You are studying social work, nursing assistant, or a similar field and do not have another employment in the municipality.
What do you get with us?
At Bengtsfors Municipality, you work with approximately 750 wonderful colleagues. Our office is located in a region where water flows – from the fantastic Dalsland Canal to plots near the lake.
We value diversity
We believe that diversity enriches and leads to development. The different experiences, competencies, and perspectives of our employees make us stronger. We strive to achieve a balanced gender distribution and welcome applicants with different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. So, if you are ready to become part of our diverse and dynamic workplace, do not hesitate to get in touch!
Become part of a traditional yet forward-looking municipality with a large dose of heart and care. We don’t promise that it will be quiet – but it will be fun and meaningful!
Welcome to us, where lakes meet art and work meets passion.
